Our Jury Members 2022
There will be three jury prizes (1500€, 1000€, 500€) and one audience prize (1000€). In addition to that there will be a team prize (1000€), awarded by the inclusive festival team.
Dario Aguirre
Dario Aguirre is a German-Ecuadorian author, filmmaker and producer. He studied visual communication with Gerd Roscher and Wim Wenders at HfbK Hamburg. His award-winning films are presented at international festivals, in cinemas and on TV. They revolve around topics like identity, being a foreigner, memory and always contain autobiographical references.
Axel Behrens
Axel Behrens is head of distribution at the Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg. In this function he has curated and organized several short film programs, which he distributes to German cinemas along with over 600 short films for individual distribution. Since 1986 he was part of the NO BUDGET Short Film Festival (now Short Film Festival Hamburg) and from 1997 to 1999 he was a member of its management team. In 1992 he was a founding member of the Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg.
Barbara Fickert
Barbara Fickert b. 1959, lives in Berlin. She was born severely visually impaired. On her blog blindgaengerin.com she writes about cinema going experiences. In 2016 she founded Blindgänger GmBH, producing accessible versions of arthouse films. She is also engaged in cinema politics and the initiative “Vielfalt im Film” (“Variety in Film”).
Pheline Roggan
Pheline Roggan b. in Hamburg, completed her acting studies at “Schule für Schauspiel”. Her breakthrough was 2009 in Fatih Akin’s film SOUL KITCHEN. Since then she has been acting for cinema and TV, including in JERKS. In 2019 together with colleagues she started the initiative Changemakers.film, to actively make the film industry more sustainable.
Rosemarie Tobor-Schmidt
Rosemarie Tobor-Schmidt is deaf since birth. For 22 years she has been an active member of Deutsches Gehörlosentheater (German Deaf Theatre) and since 2015 she has worked at Dialoghaus Hamburg gGmbH as a guide in the exhibition Dialogue in Silence. She is also a sign language instructor teaching hearing people who want to learn sign language.
