Here is the greeting from Hanne Stiefvater (Managing Director), for the festival from 2017:

Dear film friends, “Opportunities” – they should be taken and made use of. “Opportunities” is the of motto of our 3rd all inclusive short film festival, KAPPE-AUF! Our varied program offers many opportunities to get carried away with the love of film. The cooperation with filmmakers from Turkey, is also a special privilege and opportunity this year. KLAPPE-AUF! has been organised by people passionate about film, who have created a platform that removes obstacles and is made barrier-free. Take advantage of the opportunity to exchange and experience with our community here, in which each and every person is free to develop and participate. My sincere thanks go out to all the filmmakers for their diverse cinematic contributions and to all of the contributors for their help with the preparation and execution of this years festival program. I am also very pleased to announce that Fatih Akin, has once again resumed his role as this years patron. I wish you all inspiring cinema days!
